Banus will teach you a thing or two about partying until the sun comes up and it certainly comes up on the beautiful harbour. There are rich and famous people driving cars that you have only seen in movies, there are multitudes of sleek, elegant boats moored in the pier and there are fashion boutiques and restaurants galore. There is an abundance of water sports, cycling, shooting and many more activities that your stags can be filling their days with before they party the nights away with the locals.

Culture:

Many different cultures have occupied the area around the Costa del Sol and there are a broad variety of monuments and historical buildings as well as many art galleries. Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga and the Pablo Ruiz Picasso museum in Malaga is a must see for any art enthusiasts in your party. Marbella City Theatre right only 5 miles down up the coast is a tremendous location to catch a show of local and Spanish talent. The true lifeblood of the region is live music and flamenco dancing- festivals of which take part year round and there are shows every night of the week displaying this beautiful dancing which tells the story of the local people.

Famous for/ Must see:

This Mediterranean coastal region of Spain is most well-known for its tourism industry. The beautiful golden beaches along its shores coupled with the agreeable sunny and mild climate make it a hugely popular destination. Marbella, 5 miles away from Banus is world famous for its rich and famous visitors and residents and its electrically charged after hours pubs and clubs.

Travel info:

Air - Malaga airport is serviced by many airlines in the British Isles and budget airlines like Ryanair and Malaga can get you return tickets for as low as 70 euros. The airport is 37 miles from Puerto Banus and a taxi costs 65 euros or if convenient a bus is available. By Road- Banus is also very accessible by road with Marbella being only 5 miles away, Malaga 37 and Seville being about 150.

Stag do ideas:

For the thrill-seekers among you there are a wide array of hair-raising activities available right on the pier. With Water Sports Banus you can go jet-skiing, canoeing, or banana boating among a variety of ways to surf and ski across the waves at moderate to spine-tinglingly fast speeds. Maybe the sore heads among you fancy going on a more leisurely boating excursion to see dolphins. Paintballing in Marbella is an option for the action heroes who fancy staying dry as is the buggies and the off-road safaris and quad biking that can be availed of. A round of golf is always a leisurely option with an abundance of spectacular courses around Marbella.

Nightlife:

The Costa del Sol is legendary for its partying spirit and has bars and pubs everywhere you look, each offering its own pulsating rhythm. Puerto Banus is no different except that it's the Rolls-Royce of the region. There are bars that will order you to join in the rip roaring fun, clubs that keep you dancing all night and still there are lounges that coax you to relax and absorb the suave Mediterranean culture that exists in this slice of heaven. Zoo Lounge on Av De la Ribera is a funky spot from where to get the party started as is Old Joys pub on the marina which is great for catching live sports as well as live music in the evenings. Clubs, oh yes there are many, two of the best are Tibu Banus and Aqwa Mist which are near the port and where the rich party. Glam is another great club which is a little easier on the pocket.

History:

Puerto Banus is itself a recent architect designed development in the last 10 years. It is Marbella that has sprouted into its present day existence and also spurred on the development of Banus. The Romans came here in 1600BC, even though there's evidence of pre-historic settlements much earlier. Their marks are about the place as are those of the Arabs who conquered the town in the 6th century. The Spanish Catholics took over in the 15thC and the town was little more than a fishing village until its 'discovery' in the 1940's by Prince Alfonso who bought real estate and begun the explosion which made it what it is today.

Food/ Restaurant:

Your stag party will be destroyed with choices when it comes to dining out and tasting what the Costa del Sol has to offer in the food stakes. The Red Pepper, right on the marina is an excellent venue to savour the choicest Greek and seafood dishes. Eat the finest food while sitting watching the passers-by on the marina. Tango, nearby is a splendid choice if any of your party are craving a great big helping of Argentinian steak. There is a whole smorgasbord of other diverse and international eateries in town with cuisine to suit all tastes and situations, even if that is a need for a kebab.

Overview:

Puerto Banus is a new development in the Costa del Sol on the Mediterranean on Spain's southerly Andaluc'a. The locality is very popular with the rich and famous of Europe and a walk around its stylish marina with its fabulous yachts moored there or a look to the snazzy high class motors its residents drive this is confirmed.
