History:
The oldest evidence of human habitation in the Prague valley dates from 600, 000 BC, but more numerous clues were left by hunters during the last Ice Age, about 25, 000 years ago. Permanent communities were established around 4000 BC in the north-western parts of Prague, and the area was inhabited continuously by various Germanic and Celtic tribes before the arrival of the Slavs.
