The locals have a great love of outdoor wining and dining and this brings a warm and energetic atmosphere with hundreds of people enjoying their evening 'cocido madrileno' hearty meal. Over 6 million tourists visit Madrid every year and Madrid is especially known for its inhabitants and if ever there was cause for celebration and bringing people together Madrid is Numero Uno. So don't delay come to Madrid for an experience you will never forget.

Madrid is fast becoming one of Europe's most popular destinations for you and your party.

Culture:

Whatever you plan for your visit, a warm welcome awaits you! Madrid has a vast amount of culture and with tight curfews becoming tighter than trousers in many great European city's it's good to know that Madrid is one grand capital where a relaxed and friendly atmosphere still prevails. As a top tourist destination it's got spectacular outdoor parks such as 'El Retiro' where you can take a boat ride on the lake while being entertained by the lakeside performers and marvel at the presence of 'El Angel Caido' ' the only puplic statue in existence in dedication to the devil.

The most spectacular art and cultural centres abound in Madrid with The Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia Museums are regarded as the big three to see. They attract millions of tourists To Madrid on their merits alone and fans of Goya and Picasso will delight in the abundance of masterpieces by these national heroes. Look out for 'Guernica' Picasso's famed depiction of the Spanish civil war at the Reina Sofia, possibly the most beloved and moving piece by the Spanish cubist, So no matter what your in to you will have a great time in Madrid.

Travel Info and Getting around Madrid:

Madrid Barajas International Airport is located 13km from the city centre. It is one of the biggest airports in Europe and is serviced by many airlines, as well as being the home base for Iberia Airlines. The Airport has 4 terminals; Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are close together and serviced by the metro station, while Terminal 4 is far from those and has its own metro and commuter train stations. A compact and simple city to get around, Madrid can be explored on foot with relative ease. There is no difference between the cabs and mini-cabs as only official taxis are legal and available.

Stag Ideas:

There are plenty of fun and exciting things to do when you're in Madrid and these are just a few to name but there are a lot more, you could go to one of the most famous football stadiums in the world and Real Madrid's home ground the Santiago Bernabeu for a tour, for those a bit more adventurous there is also laser combat and for those who wish to relax and have some different kind of fun there is also numerous water/aqua parks available to kick back and enjoy yourself.

Nightlife:

Madrid comes alive after dark and no one would think of going out dancing before 2am. We pick the best places to go from restaurants, bars and clubs to chocolatiers. Spain is of course highly attuned to late-night life. Some major cities such as Barcelona, Seville and Valencia can all lay convincing claim to the title of nightlife capital of Spain, but it is Madrid that has produced the most assiduously image of a city where life is lived more intensely after dark.

Visitors are often left speechless to see in the early hours of a summer morning, some children and their parents out and about in the parks, some big traffic jams along the Paseo de la Castellana, and queues at stalls that offer some tasty crispy fried churros and cups of hot chocolate as thick as custard. So no matter what you want to get up to here in the beautiful city of Madrid, you will have the best experience of your life guaranteed.

Food/ Restaurants:

Whether it's a classic culinary temple or a local haunt, Madrid restaurants are destinations in and of themselves. The list goes on and on but to name a few there is the beautiful Alboroque which is amazing also Antojo- beautiful food, then Bazaar located off the Gran Via, also Casa lucio this is a fantastic restaurant, so no matter what type of food your into you will definitely find it in Madrid.
