Culture:


Whatever ideas you have for your Aberdeen Hen Party, the city can certainly accommodate for your needs. The city hosts a number of festivals and theatrical events throughout the year such as the Sound music festival, which is held annually and sees some of Scotland’s biggest music acts take to the stage to perform some great music. Whatever you plan for your hen do, you’re guaranteed a good time.


Famous for:


Aberdeen is nicknamed ‘The Granite City’ for its locally quarried granite which was used in the building of the Houses of Parliament and Waterloo Bridge. The city is full of life and has quite a few parks, gardens and floral displays which includes a staggering two million roses, eleven million daffodils and three million crocuses. 


If for any reason you would rather be a tourist whilst on your hen do then you could grab your camera and take a look at some of the historic sites that Aberdeen offers such as the world-famous Balmoral Castle or the Craigievar Castle. 


They’re famous for their football team in which legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson managed from 1978-1986 and made Aberdeen a major force in British football during the 80's. So, if footballs more your thing, Aberdeen has great football facilities to meet your needs.


Travel Information:


Airports – Aberdeen International Airport serves a number of domestic and international destinations including France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Ireland and Scandinavian countries. In 2017 just under 3.1 million people used the airport so it’s fair to say that it’s quite popular.


Railways – Aberdeen Railway Station is part of the main UK rail network and has direct trains to major cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. 


Roads – There are six major roads in and out of the city which are: the A90, the A96, the A93, the A944, the A92 and the A947.
