History:
Essex is a county in the East of England...
and north east of London. It originated as the ancient Kingdom of Essex and one of the seven kingdoms that would formed the Kingdom of England. The name Essex comes from the Anglo-Saxon period of the Early Middle Ages and has its root in the Old English ?astseaxe meaning East Saxons, the eastern kingdom of the Saxons. Colchester in the north east of the county is said to be Britain's oldest recorded town.

It is famous for the beautiful scenery, it recent years Essex has also become associated with the reality TV show the only way is Essex (TOWIE). That's why in recent years Essex has being chosen as the ideal Hen weekend with a great party atmosphere and also time to chill out and enjoy the breath-taking scenery. Essex has one of the longest Coastline is Britainwith 350 miles of coastline. Southend Pier is the longest pleasure pier in the whole world at over 1.3 miles long.
