Overview:
Puerto Banus is a new development in the Costa del Sol on the Mediterranean on Spain's southerly Andaluc'a. The locality is very popular with the rich and famous of Europe and a walk around its stylish marina with its fabulous yachts moored there or a look to the snazzy high class motors its residents drive this is confirmed.
History:
Puerto Banus is itself a recent architect designed development in the last 10 years. It is Marbella that has sprouted into its present day existence and also spurred on the development of Banus. The Romans came here in 1600BC, even though there's evidence of pre-historic settlements much earlier. Their marks are about the place as are those of the Arabs who conquered the town in the 6th century.
The Spanish Catholics took over in the 15thC and the town was little more than a fishing village until its 'discovery' in the 1940's by Prince Alfonso who bought real estate and begun the explosion which made it what it is today.
Food/ Restaurant:
Your hen party will be destroyed with choices when it comes to dining out and tasting what the Costa del Sol has to offer in the food stakes. The Red Pepper, right on the marina is an excellent venue to savour some of the best Greek and seafood dishes. Eat the finest food while sitting watching the passers-by on the marina. Tango, nearby is a splendid choice if any of your party are craving a great big helping of Argentinian steak. There is a whole smorgasbord of other diverse and international eateries in town with cuisine to suit all tastes and situations, even if that is a need for a kebab.
