Travel info: Air:
The airport Cote d'Azur Nice is international and is served by major airports all over Europe and by budget airlines like Ryanair and EasyJet and it is right in the city centre on the bay at the southern end of Promenade des Anglais. The view of the city, the promenade and the med is spectacular flying in. The buses 23/ 98 take you into the town depending on whether you're in T1/T2.
Hen do ideas:
The adventurers in your hen party will not leave you disappointed with a host of activities to keep the adrenaline flowing. A fun filled session whizzing around the blue waters of the Mediterranean on jet-skis is sure to fuel some of that hunger.
Parasailing is also an option but perhaps not for the fainthearted among you. For those of you who'd prefer a relaxing way to take in the beauty of the Mediterranean and the French Riviera backdrop a trip on the Train des Pignes is wholly recommended.This is a narrow gauge train that climbs peaks around the city like Castle Hill with lots of stop off points, from these places there are endless stunning views of Nice.

Never let it be said that the fun stops on the Cote D'azur when the sun goes down. There is a current flowing through a vast agglomeration of cafes and bars citywide and an endless amount of ideal starting points (and finishing points as well as all in between) for a hen night celebrations. Just be sure not to let alcohol take over and have your hens try to skateboard with the hipsters on the promenade after dark.

History:
There is evidence of people living here as long as 40,000 years ago. The Greeks made it a classical city in about 350BC, after which the Romans were here. The city became part of Italy in the 7th century and. After the era of Louis XIV in the late 17th - 18th centuries it became a point of struggle between him and Italian dynasties. In the 18th century it was 'discovered' by the English aristocracy and became a Mediterranean resort for the well-off. Russian and other European aristocrats soon followed and it's been popular with well-off tourists since. Today it's become a very important Mediterranean port.

Your hen party will be offered a wide choice of eating establishments in this diamond on the Riviera. If you are lucky enough to be in the old town or in the centre of Nice you will be spoiled for choice. Only a couple of hundred yards from the promenade is Le Sejour Cafe on Rue Grimaldi which offers a delectable and affordable choice of Mediterranean dishes all prepared masterfully. For an elegant tapas bar with food, wine and occasional live music the atmosphere of Le Vingt4 a few minutes' walk away is second to none. La Roustide 5 minutes away in a taxi on Rue Beaumount is a fine example of exquisite well prepared local and French cuisine.
