Famous for:


The internationally acclaimed painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso, Hebrew poet and Jewish philosopher Solomon Ibn Gabirol and actor Antonio Banderas were born in M'laga. The magnum opus of Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona, "Malague'a", is named for the music of this region of Spain.

Night life:


Vastly known as the capital of the Costa del Sol, Malaga is a fun and modern city which continues to attract visitors from all over the world. Once upon a time it was once a budding port city, but now it has evolved into 1 of the most attractive and stylish cities in the world.


The nightlife is diverse and exclusive and many of the city's night clubs and music bars are among the best in the whole of Spain. Around Calle Larios, Plaza de la Constitucion, Calle Granada and Plaza de la Merced, you will see the real Malaga as it bursts into life at night time and this is when some of the most popular music bars and clubs open their doors. You may see some club reps outside and they usually give invitations away and include one free drink if you arrive before a certain time.


Overview:


Eating freshly caught sardines by the sea is one of life's great simple pleasures, and the beaches on all sides of Malaga are the perfect place to do it. Unlike some Spanish cities, it does not wind down in summer, and is particularly lively during the Malaga Fair in mid-August, even the most reserved visitors might find themselves joining the locals for a twirl in the streets. Gastrobars and suave new caf's have popped up beside the more traditional taverns in the heart of the city, while the waterfront has been developed with a host of bars, restaurants and shops.


History:


The city has a population of close to 570,000 in 2012, making Malaga is the second most populated city within Andalucia and the sixth largest in Spain. Malaga enjoys the warmest winters in Europe, with average temperatures of 17.2C during the months of December to February.

Malaga plays host to a wide variety of the worlds best cuisine. From locally caught sardines to a full English breakfast.
