Here you will learn all about the fishing tackle, the flies that are used, what they are, when and how to fish them, how to read the water and how to cast a fly. Break for lunch then put all you have learned into practise and fly fish for trout on the bank of the world famous and award-winning Rutland Water form aboard motor boat. If your lucky enough catch a fine trout, we will even prepare and pack it for you to take home and show to friends and family. You can take up to two fish home with you. The Rutland Water has about 26 miles of shoreline which covers 3,500 acres and is Europe's biggest and premier trout fishing lake; these trout are not easy to catch however the quality of the fish is unbeatable.
