This three hour falconry day is ideal for any true bird of prey enthusiast. Kick off with a cup of warm coffee, before heading across the estate with a skilled falconer to get acquainted with a range of birds. Begin by flying a small owl through a wooded area, followed by a wood owl or eagle owl through the estate's meadow. Next, You'll advance to larger birds of prey, flying Maggie the vulture across the lawns, a resident hawk through open parkland and woodland and finally, the imperial Chilean eagle through hedged gardens. This is a Brilliant way to get hands-on with a large selection of majestic birds of prey and be privy to a rare glimpse into their world.
Availability
Seven days a week throughout the year (with the exception of national holidays). Dates usually fill up quickly, so book several weeks in advance and allow even longer for popular summer weekend dates.
Participant Guidelines
The minimum age begins at 8. Reasonable fitness is mandatory for this experience as the day involves a fair amount of walking, often over uneven ground and is therefore unsuited for disabled people.
Duration
The experience will last for approximately three hours.
Numbers On Day
Share the experience with up to three others and an experienced bird of prey handler.
Spectators
Bring along one spectator for '25 which is payable on the day direct to the venue. They will receive lunch on site.
Dress Code
Dress for the outdoors with wellies or walking boots. Please bring a change of clothes if the weather is very bad and don't forget a camera or a pair of binoculars.
