  1. 30 Minute Light Aircraft Flight

    Availability Many venues operate seven days a week all year round. Please take note that weekends are extremely busy - please book several weeks in advance. During winter, flights are usually run earlier in the day, during daylight hours.Participant Guidelines Restrictions vary according to venue. As a guide, the minimum age varies from 14 to 18, minimum height 4', maximum 6' to 6'6'' and maximum weight 14 to 18 stone. Some of the venues will ask for name and address/photo id on the day for security reasons.Weather Flying is a weather dependent activity and it's essential to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is called off because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time.Duration The experience will last for about 40 minutes, including a 30 minute flight. Flight times are very approximate and are the chocks-off to chocks-on duration.Numbers On Day The briefing may be shared. The flight will be held on a strict one-to-one basis with your instructor.Spectators Spectators are always more welcome to watch take off and land.Dress Code please be sure to wear sensible flat-soled shoes. please bring some sunblock and a hat in summer. Sunglasses are highly recommended all year round.Other Info Flying time can count towards a Private Pilot's Licence (PPL). The Max weight ends at 16 stone. You can't fly if you suffer from epilepsy, fainting or certain other physical or mental disabilities - check when bookingWeather Gliding is weather dependent. It is crucial that you make sure to call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the flight is called off because of the weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date or time.Duration The length of glider flights depends entirely on the prevailing thermals (currents of warmer air that provide the lift).Your flight should last for between 12 and 20 minutes.Numbers On Day The briefing may be shared but the flight will be held on a one-to-one basis with the instructor.Spectators Spectators are welcome, but must follow safety directions whilst on site. Please make sure to check with us at point of booking as some venues operate a minimum age policy.Dress Code Wear flat-soled shoes and bring a jumper with you in case it gets cold at higher altitudes. Bring gloves if its winter and sunblock and a hat around summer. Sunglasses are highly recommended all year round.Other Info Many gliding venues are run as non-profit-making clubs and operate on a first come first served basis - you might be asked to sign onto a flight list and wait your turn to glide.

You cannot fly if you are a sufferer of epilepsy, fainting or certain other physical or mental disabilities.Weather Gliding is very weather dependent. It is essential that you call the venue between 9am and 9.30am to check the weather before you set out. If the flights are cancelled because of weather conditions, they will be re-booked for an another date.Duration The duration of your experience can vary. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure your flights start promptly.Numbers On Day Your briefings might be shared, your flights will be held on a one-to-one basis with the pilot.Spectators Spectators are welcome, but must follow safety directions whilst on site. Spectators should bring camera or a pair of binoculars to get a good view and may bring a packed lunch so they can sit and watch for a while?Dress Code Wear flat-soled shoes and bring a jumper with you in case it gets cold at higher altitudes. We recommend that you bring gloves in winter and some sunblock and a hat in summer.   4. Light Aircraft Flight

    Availability We are open 7 days a week, even on evenings, all through the year. This club is closed throughout the Christmas holidays. Due to the popularity of this experience at weekends, we recommend that you book around 2/3 weeks in advance.Participant Guidelines The minimum age for this experience is 16 for insurance reasons. The maximum weight limit for this experience is 17lb. The maximum height limit is 6foot 4inches. I.d. with a picture (ideally a passport or driving licence if you have one) must be produced by all participants on the day of their flight. Failure to do so may affect your admittance to fly.Weather Flying is heavily dependent on the activity of the weather and it's very important that you call the venue for a weather check before setting out to make sure you don't have a wasted journey if the weather is bad. If the flight is cancelled because of bad weather, it will be rebooked for a different date or time.Duration Lasts for about 45 minutes, including a 30 minute flight. Flight times are approximate but are close to the given time.Numbers On Day Both the safety briefing and flight will be given in a one-to-one manner with the instructor.Spectators Spectators are more than welcome to watch you take off and land on our siteDress Code We recommend that you wear flat shoes/trainers. Bring sun lotion (if the sun is too strong) and a hat in the summertime. Sunglasses are ideal throughout the year.Other Info This flying time can count towards a Private Pilot's Licence (PPL). To qualify for a Private Pilot's Licence you are required to have at least 35 hours of dual control and 10 hours of solo flying.
