Have you ever wanted to get up close and personal with some seriously big cats on this lion feeding experience at the Paradise Wildlife Park in Hertfordshire. This incredible park is an increasingly popular animal experience attraction and the only place in Europe where you can feed white lions. Get up close to these magnificent creatures and feed them under the watchful eye of a fully-trained zoo keeper. White lions are a very genetic rarity unique to the Timbavati Game Reserve in South Africa. In this country, there isn't any better way to glimpse the world of this most majestic of beasts and learn more fascinating facts about their behaviour and natural habitat. Your voucher also includes access to the other facilities within the park.
Availability
The experience takes place all year round on Wednesdays, excluding Christmas Eve, New Years Eve and public holidays.
Participant Guidelines
Minimum age is 16 with a reasonable level of fitness. This experience is not suitable for pregnant women, those who have given birth within the previous six months and is impractical for wheelchair users.
Weather
ZSL London Zoo's keepers work in all conditions so the weather should not affect your experience, although the itinerary may change slightly if conditions are unsuitable for any aspect of the day.
Duration
Your experience begins at 8.45am and you can expect to be at the venue for around four and a half hours, including an hour for lunch.
Numbers On Day
Expect to share your experience with up to four other enthusiasts and a qualified zoo keeping host.
Spectators
The experience is exclusively for fee paying voucher holders but friends and family can spend the day in the zoo (entry tickets can be purchased from 10am).
Dress Code
Wear practical clothes suitable for outdoors in sometimes muddy and mucky conditions, with sturdy shoes or boots.
