Additional Information
Experience a day in the life of a SWAT team expert in this hostage rescue activity. Dressed in full SWAT gear and given the necessary equipment try your best complete your mission. Following a quick briefing from your SWAT leader you will be shown the skills and techniques which are needed of special weapons and tactics teams to carry out their high risk operations. During this session you will be shown how to use pistols with blanks, incorporating changing magazines and pistol handling skills. The hostage rescue experience will also include assault tactics, room clearance drills, rescue tactics and the use of pyrotechnics. For the final part of this experience your team will take part in a gang's van or stolen security truck hold up, with the aim of rescuing a hostage unharmed.
Availability
Saturdays and Sundays between March and November, twice a month on average during the season.
Participant Guidelines
The minimum age for this activity is 18. Participants must be physically fit within reason. This experience is not suitable for those with disabilities however the hearing-impaired are welcome.
Weather
This is an all-weather experience and some activities take place outdoors - if it's raining, you're going to get wet!
Duration
Your experience will last for around three hours.
Numbers On Day
There will be up to 36 people taking part, split into supervised groups of four or eight for the activities.
Spectators
All spectators are welcome and refreshments will be available at the tuck shop.
Dress Code
Dress for the weather and wrap up well in winter - activities take place outdoors and indoors. We recommend that you wear flat shoes either walking boots or trainers would be ideal. Eye protection will be provided for you.
Other Info
There's a tuck shop which sells soft drinks, crisps, snacks, tea and coffee.
